Red Bull Soapbox Race 2007 #11
This photo is hot! Share it!
This year's Red Bull Soapbox Race was held in my backyard, the East Side of Providence, RI on College Hill. Last year I lived just a couple blocks down from this spot! It was an amazing time and I was lucky to be accompanied by two of my favorite new cameras: my Holga 120CFN and my brand new Diana+ from The Lomographic Society. There is no better way to capture these fanatics than with a Lomo camera!
I used my new Diana+ for the candid shots of the crews in the pits and my Holga with high speed film for the race shots. I got a lot of looks from photographers with their D-SLR's! The pit crews were very happy to pose for my unique cameras.
Calm, cool, and collected is the driver from team Pimp My Soapbox Car. Great purple paint job & mag weels! I think I saw this car on MTV...
You can purchase selected photos of mine at mylatehope.imagekind.com.
Created using my Holga 120CFN with Fuji NPZ 800 film. Negative scanned with my brand new Epson v700 Perfection scanner (thanks Nicole!). No digital manipulation used!

He's a pro! You need to make a Diana-shaped car for next year's race!
