Yankee Backyard
I love to see laundry on the line. There's a dreamlike, ethereal quality to those disembodied garments fluttering in the breeze. I feel a comforting, domestic sense of things-as-they-should-be when I see a full clothesline on a sunny day.
I was drawn to this shot because of the contrast between the blazing white bedspreads and the dilapidated red building beyond. This is my neighborhood, a real place with real people. This shot feels like home.
