homeless or free?
I was over waiting to take photos of the Burma March that happened in London and this homeless guy that I see around a bit was at the top of some steps... he started walking down them slowly, down into the first few people that were gathering... I took his photo, and as you can see he looked at me with that "what are you doing" look.. I wanted to find out who he was, but let him walk away after he scowled some more... I was walking to a job yesterday afternoon and who did I see sitting out the front of a sandwich shop but the same homeless guy. I saw him and looked straight at him, walking over to him I started to say something... then "you took my photo" he said.. I did, I said... and i'd like you to have a copy - I really liked the photo I took of you.. He was visually touched, he asked "why anyone would want to take my photo"... All quite weird and emotional, anyway - now I carry a copy around with me for when I see him next... I was late for a job and apologised, I shook his hand and told him my name...
As I walked away, he called out to me... "they call me Bruce"....

Wonderful story with this shot.
I often see these people and would like to shoot them as you did but do not want to offend!
Great that you found him again and are now giving him the photo! -

Great capture and story. We often take shots of people that we never really have an encounter with. I am guilty

I love the story behind this photo and I love the way you captured "Bruce" in amongst the blurred faces. You've got my vote on this one!!!
