Seattle Downtown Double
Oh the joys of bulk loading film!
Kodak bulk tins are just a tad short of 20 36exp rolls Fuji are just a tad short of 21. Im not used to Kodak bulk tins and had a short roll at the end of the tin. I had an 8 shot roll and didnt know it, so I went out there recently loaded it shot my 8 and though mmm funky roll and I rewound it, pulled it out and reloaded it -and forgot to shoot past the 8 Id previously exposed, hit the end and realised what Id done and also realised it mustve been a short roll. So dev'd it and I got an AMAZING straight strip of double exposures as the frames were over-lapping the entire strip looks like one entire exposure, it is amazingly awesome looking. Of course on my 35mm scanner it wont allow me to scan the whole thing continuously so all I can do is scan frames sized areas. This is one of the best areas on the strip, I just love the way the shadow area of the guys arm right in the middle facilitates the exposure of the street scene on the right hand side of the frame. I think I might have found a new project for shooting slides. as Id love to see how this would look in color. Maybe its time for me to get a Holga afterall....

Gorgeous chance operation. I love this. It reminds me a bit of Ray Metzger, but more magical than his.
