    You've got some amazing shots!
However, I dont necessarily feel the same way as you about Zoos. Yes some do have smaller confinements and I feel those should be carefully examined by the AZA. However, many of the animals in Zoos are rescued from homes where people were stupid enough to think they would make good pets, and cannot be returned to the wild. I learned this after working behind the scenes at both the Toledo and Detroit Zoo. Many of these animals are provided beyond healthy meals every day and would survive longer in captivity than in the wild. Especially considering most are generations of animals bred in captivity and would have very hard time adjusting out in their "natural" habitat.
In an ideal world, all the animals would be out living in their natural homes, but since humans have successfully destroyed most of that for them, sometimes Zoos are the next best thing.
