I think it's impossible, even if a person relaxes their faces completely as I have done in this self-portrait, to capture no emotion whatsoever. Our eyes give it all away.

Taken with a lamp shining on my face and with my hair clustered around my neck so you can't see it! It's amazing how lighting can make a shot. Also, I used a huge apature (small number) which is what has blurred the picture from my eyes downwards - I focused on my eyebrow area.
