Moving into his 15th year suffering from Parkinsons, my grandfather often struggles with the simplest of tasks. This photo illustrates his arduous task of eating dinner. Regardless, he's always comforted by the relentless company of my dog, Vinnie (who was named after my grandfather). This is one in a series of portraits I've taken of his struggle to manage his disease.

Patience..........too often I fail to see the struggle of this man in his everyday life because I am always reacting 'in the moment'. Seeing his struggle FROZEN IN TIME, humbles me and reminds me that there should be no end to my patience for him.

Very moving...I love photos that capture true emotion and real life. We too often forget that life is not all the 'cute' and 'fluffy' stuff that most people display. Good Job here!
