This man was in Los Angeles in August 2007. It was over 90 degrees outside, but he refused to take off his coat and hat. He claimed that when you've lost so much, it's important to hang on to and take care of what you have left regardless of what it is. It was obvious he had experienced a lot of pain, but his spirit was strong. He inspired me in such a way that I now truly appreciate all that I have been given.
