Lifetime Chief of the Mohegan Tribe, Ralph Sturges, posed with this statue of himself one day after lunch. It was August 9, 2005, and I was interviewing him for an article for the local newspaper. He was always wonderful to work with and while this photo didn't run with the article, it's my most treasured photo of him because that smile of his could brighten any day. The Chief, as he was affectionately known by many, passed from this world October 1, 2007.
