These hands belong to my wife's grandmother, who has been working for over 60 years in the leather upholstering and custom furniture business in Thomasville.

When I think of Made in the USA and small towns centered around one industry, I think of her and the countless others in that rural North Carolina town.

At 80, she's still working 3-4 days a week.

    Very strong image..it really displays what years of hard work can do to your body..her hands have really got to hurt as much arthritus is in them
