Lilly Pads

Another photo from the Japanese garden in Roger Williams Park in Providence, RI. Words cannot express the way I feel about the tones produced by this old, old film. Why digitally manipulate when film experimentation is SO much more fun?!? These slides are scratched though, you can see a line about 1/3 of the way in from the right hand side. That's probably expected with a roll of film that expired when I was only 7 years old (and many JPGers were not even born!).

You can purchase selected photos of mine at mylatehope.imagekind.com.

Created using my 1950's AGFA Clack with almost 30 year (MAR 1978!) expired Kodak Ektachrome Tungsten EPY120 (iso 50) slide film. Positive (slide) scanned with an HP Scanjet 4890. No digital manipulation used!

Love the blue-green overcast look...it's a wonder that film that old can still pick up anything.Do you have to push process this stuff,or just over-expose it a bit?

there is something really captivating about this image. It looks like a night scene because of all the deep tones you got. you ended up with some lovely cyan and green tones, making this image both calm, and uneasy because of its subtle eeriness. don't you love developing film and never knowing what to expect!
