Blackboard, Kande Village, Malawi
Malawi is one of Africa's most impoverished countries. This blackboard & chalk were the only tools the teacher had to work with in this overcrowded one-room primary school. The current day's teachings were about the Nile River.

I've been to Tanzania, India, Ethiopia... and it is very sad to see in what conditions poor people desperately try to become somebody through education.
