Wheel Barrel

This was a well worn tool I came across in a recent trip to Brazil. The wheel barrels we would use in our work projects down there were all on their last leg. The tires were always flat and the weight of the contents would always push the barrel down onto the tire rims. But they still got the dirt from point A to point B. We would mix three barrels of sand and one bag of cement to create the "masa" we used as mortar for the structure. After the perimeter was laid they would splash the walls with a watered down version of the masa (depicted in the image) to reinforce the wall.

I was in Brazil to work on the construction of a house and a wall for a classroom in a Vineyard Church down in Altamira.
