Here is a shot of Varkala Beach, Kerala, South India. I noticed early in the morning that the fisherman would all be doing a tug of war type fishing method with these long ropes, and constantly switch who was at the front by running around to the back and cycling through the line of workers. They also use other tools in their fishing, such as large nets and the variously shaped fishing boats as can be seen on the beach.
