Embera Indian Village, Panama
The Embera Indians of Panama live in the jungle away from the main cities. These sepia photos were taken on the edge of Gatun Lake, where the Embera built some huts so they could show tourists how they live. It's also possible to go deeper into the jungle to visit an authentic Embera village and see how they live (access is by canoe as the village is on a river). There are groups that work with the Embera to help them make money from tourism without being exploited, helping them to preserve their way of life.

Great photo - do the Embera live throughout Panama? Do love Latin America, must travel to Panama again soon.
