Truly a wonderful capture of how gravity does not exist in photography, nothing goes down everything is still just like it was at the very moment of the shot. My vote for you!

“Great Art” rarely gives the viewer the complete whole story. When a photographer surprises me, where I “think” I’m knowledgeable, I celebrate! If we could see the player’s complete body while catching/missing the baseball and it was a vertical shot…we would have a very nice Sports Illustrated cover. Here, it is up to each of us to complete the “story” of the image. Vanessa, your wanting to “see the head” is where the power is in this image. Additionally, for the sports fan in us, we see a bit of humor in a baseball game. We are expecting to see something and we don’t; when this is done correctly, as it is here, it’s brilliant! jmho

Brilliant framing. Makes me try to make out what happens by the shadow. Who said you can't take brilliant photo's around noon. Pfua..Harsh light... Bowman laughes in your face. ;-)

Great. I think the way his head is out of the frame makes it seems more like he's taking off. Good one.
