In the madness along the Ganges in Benares, I caught these ladies bargaining on the ghats. I love the depth of this photo, the old man climbing the stairs in the back, and the colors which exhibit the true nature of India, like the man carrying the green sack on his head, and the women in their saris. I love seeing the filth that is India, and the man who has just bathed on the left about to reach down for his staring daughter. You could write a story about each of the characters in this photo, which is what India is, a country full of stories just waiting to be written.
