Hideaway
Stockton Beach, NSW- This little hideaway is actually one of the few shacks of "Tin City" which is located amongst the sand dunes of Stockton Bight. Tin City was built before the second World War out of corrugated iron. Today it is used as a fishing village. The location was also used in movies such as Mad Max and Sahara to name a couple. It is only accessible by 4WD. We discovered this little gem by accident when, as a spur of the moment thing, we went looking for a shipwreck (yep something you do on the spur of the moment!) and our 4WD overheated (we weren't really prepared for 4WDriving!) As we had to get out and walk and try and find a campsite among the dunes that might have water (and also try and not get lost) - we stumbled across the "City". Luckily for us they had water to spare and guided as back to "civilisation"! This is only a small part of what you might find while driving among the dunes. It is one of my favourite places, and I will definitely revisit (if I can find it again!).

Cool photo... but what exactly is this place besides a hideaway? Tell me more, please.
