“The Apocalyptic Photographer”

ANNUAL HISTORY AWARDS!
Richard Knight became the 1st to ever sweep the History Awards at the American Journal of Photography’s annual presentation gala last night.
In presenting the awards, Emcee Hugh O’Brian, of Wyatt Earp TV fame, said “Richard’s adherence to strict documentary standards and inclination to detail are amazing. In a recent JPG posting, he even included my shoe size,” O’Brian said jokingly [we think].
He continued to compliment Knight for documenting in both photos and words “everything from the wild west to the approaching Apocalypse!” and suggested the writer-photographer’s captions at JPGmag.com were “considered instrumental” in the judges’ decision.

This has GOT to be my favorite JPG shot of all time and, I swear, I am not just saying that because my "stuff" is the subject of the cover! LOL. I always love to read Dick's narratives that accompany his fabulous shots. I have learned so much from him about our country, which he loves to the depths of his soul. I love that you used his triptych on your cover. It is one of my favorites. Rob, this is another fabulous tribute to a most deserving JPG member.
