Ancient Perugia, the capital city of the Italian region of Umbria, speaks clearly of its rich historical past, including when it was an Etruscan stronghold. Throughout the city there are beautiful and fascinating architectural details such as this haunting face. While framing this shot the hairs on the back of my neck responded to the feeling of a penetrating stare from an image appearing all too human, trapped in stone for many centuries.
