Daytime Darkness

I am a night shooter. I find the freedom and creativity of shooting in low light situations to be invigorating and exciting. The problem with that is when the sun is out, I feel hamstrung. After a little thinking and searching, I went out and found a piece of welding glass and glued it to an old UV filter. This is the first shot I have taken like this, and I was pleasantly surprised with the outcome. I went to one of my favorite Pre-Dawn shooting spots at about 2 p.m. this afternoon with my new aparatus, and shot this 2 minute exposure in the blazing sun. I think with some experimentation, this may double my shooting opportunities.

Love the color. This has a sense of timelessness.
