271/365 Out of Gas
I do not like cooking with gas. I ran out while cooking dinner tonight and had to resort to using the electric oven. I don't think things taste as good when cooked in it but atleast we did not starve.

bummer, but you persevered and ate. I know the feeling of having to shift gears (so to speak) in the middle to recalculate the options. Nice SP thanks for sharing ! dp

Glad you had alternate means of cooking dinner Regenia. Someone will have to go fill the gas bottles! Good SP.

I cook with gas and love it, but mine is natural gas so it never runs out or fails me. When we loose electricity we still have gas to cook with. This is a great SP Regenia, the B&W is perfect for it!

I'm with Ann....wouldn't give up the natural gas for anything! The electricity goes off frequently during winter storms, but I've never had the gas go off. All of which has nothing to do with the quality and style of your SP today!! I like the B&W!!

We ran out of gas quicker than usual this time. We only cook with it and I try to bake meats as much as I can. My father in law likes his dry beans and I can't convince him to use the crockpot instead of the gas. I honestly think that he just forgets.

I remember having my gas turned off for one entire winter....was just glad to have a roof over my head. the dogs didn't mind...I was happy to have their warm bodies !!!

where I am moving I will not have a stove/oven...so I'm using an electric hot plate and a microwave - maybe you can get your fatherinlaw an electric hot plate for xmas !!

Love this image/sp, Reg. We have gas stove. Got a pleasant surprise in the mail yesterday...Our gas and electric company is crediting and giving us back some money. The reason they said is that the energy price go down and they are giving it back to us. Isn't it nice? I don't have to pay this months bill.

Just think...some of the best chefs in the world will only use propane, not even natural gas, as the claim is the flame is more even, and the heat better controlled. Electric, on the other hand, is still better than starving.
