Grand Illusion
The Dolomites in Italy, or Le Dolomiti in Italia, are some of the most jagged peaks on Earth -
This region is truly an alpine paradise.
Supposedly these mountains were formed from ancient reefs, and therefore they pop up in clusters, or groups, instead of traditional straight ranges. They almost seem to be an illusion here - the alpine version of a desert mirage.
In these "hills" my father was born, as was his father, and his father before that and....I haven't quite figured out how far back we go...yet.....

I like Itally. Also I like all my Itallian friends. Climbing in Dolomite is part of my best memories as well as this lovely picture! Well done Rob.

I'm guessing you go all the way back to animal skins and fires in caves, but it's just a guess. What a great range. With the family history, these hills are in your blood, no doubt.
