A Tourist's View
From hundreds of shots taken outside the Eiffel Tower, the one shot from the tour bus came out the best.

The itch to consider context of an image as the primary factor. This image presents the common place and flawed against the very sophisticated vision of the viewer and viewed. The window becomes a viewing screen and the tourists become part of a theatre audience sitting in the dark watching images of the bigger world float by on the screen. I love the alegory of the human removed from a world of real experiences and satisfied with a fragment of the real presented in simulacra, safe and unthreatening.

I'm always down to see how people can capture the Eiffel tower in new and creative ways...this is perhaps one of the best I've ever seen. Great shot!

Fascinating perspective Sasha. Has kind of a Sci-Fi feel to it, a la "Twilight Zone" or "Outer Limits". I can almost hear Rod Serling doing the narration. Very, stimulating.
