Double Entry
I found this book "Book-keeping With or Without A Master" in an antique shop. It was written in 1898. Inside the cover someone wrote Thos. W. Morre's book, July 18th, 1901.
I love the old fashion writing in the pages of this book. Bookkeeping is my profession but the labor is no longer kept in neat little journals. No one will see the left behind of my handwriting (as bad as it is) hundreds of years later.

Isn't this interesting, Karin? Looking at that near-perfect penmanship, these old bookkeeping entries rise to the level of art. Very creative of you to post this.

Karin, what a wonderful shot. I was an accountant, as was my father, and I remember seeing some of his bookkeeping ledgers and they were as neat as a pin. Fortunately, I never did have to keep any ledgers!!! Great shot of a dying art!
