Right in Front of Me the Whole Time!
[From My Front Porch]
I did not plan to enter anything in this category because there is usually nothing "orange" in my daily routine.
Instead, when it comes to fall foliage, I admire the magnificent shots that our JPG colleagues from Eastern Canada, New England, the Atlantic States, East Tennessee, and elsewhere upload for our enjoyment. (We know who they are!)
This morning, I went outside to pick up the newspaper from my front steps and something caught my attention: Orange! Straight ahead!
We have lived in our house for 27 years, but I don't think I ever realized that this old maple tree "went orange" in the fall.
I'd much rather be writing about old buildings, bridges, roads, and JPG "moments," and I usually do not upload every day, but I thought I would go ahead and share this with the cohort.
Unfortunately, the leaves are way past their peak. But, I will be ready next year!

What a gorgeous tree!! Sometimes we become so accustomed to the things we see everyday that we stop seeing them. Now you will always be aware of the stages of this magnificent tree. A beautiful entry, Dick.

That's what I like about photography...It opens the eyes and all the senses to God's good earth. You have a magnificent tree waiting to be noticed and a beautiful house as well...Lots of windows to see out of and to wash:)

I think I have to agree with Susan's comment. Now you made me think if you ever look up while picking up the newspaper.hehehehe!! I could imagine you like those in the movies, guy in pajama, go out, pick up the newspaper, look right into the news and go back inside the house. Great theme entry, by the way. I will look forward to your next year photo of this tree. RV!
