Tom and his father's car
Short story to go with this assignment I was on.
"The short story: My father purchased the car new from Polar Chev in April of 1992. He was killed on March 13 1993 while serving as a helicopter pilot for the minnesota army national guard. The car sat for ~a year and was sold out of his estate in early 1994. In 2004 (?) when I was an aviation student at SCSU I was waiting in line at the gas station and grabbed an autotrader randomly. Almost the first page I turned to I saw the car. Called the 60 something lady that owned it only to find out she is the one that purchased the car from my fathers estate. I left right then and there to go purchase the car. I wasnt a fan of the 3rd gen but it meant something to me so I had to have it. The car sat in storage for a couple/few years while I finished school. The day I graduated I took the car out and started the project. I actually drove the car to my college graduation. Spent the next 3 years restoring the car. I did it in a way I thought my father would have in 1993 hense the LT1 vs the LS1. I think it was done with class and style."
In the story Honor Guard.
