Day 270/365 SP In the woods
God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Psalm 46:1
I am playing hooky from doing my self portrait today for the daily diary series and am using this portrait I shot of myself yesterday in our woods...My husband and I attended a Memorial service this afternoon for our niece, Carol on my husband's side of the family. She died of a brain tumor in August at the age of 51...She was a lovely person who will be very missed by her family and friends...She loved nature and the woods and had many interests , including gardening, weaving patterns such as flowers with yarn, etc. She loved dogs and cats...Even had a pet crow. I chose this shot in tribute to Carol. My heart wasn't in doing another SP for today...One highlight of the funeral was when I discovered the lady pastor who gave the eulogy used to be a prior minister at the little church my mother is a member of..It was so good to see her again and also family members who we had not seen for awhile...but sad that when we all get together it is usually at a funeral...

What a great photo to use as a tribute to your niece. You look very nice and love your smile. The fall colors are nice also. I'm with Richard, at one time 51 sounded very old and now it sounds young - LOL : )
