Only a Piece of the Sky Remains

Abandoned barns on Commodore Oliver Hazard Perry Memorial Highway. Cross processing this old Vevlia blew out the highlights on these photos rendering the sky pure white. Only a piece of the blue sky remains in the top right where it clings to life near the trees.

You can purchase selected photos of mine at mylatehope.imagekind.com.

Created using my 1950's AGFA Clack with 4 year expired Fuji Velvia RVP120 (ISO 50) slide film cross processed with C-41. Photo scanned with an HP Scanjet 4890. No digital manipulation necessary!

****UPDATE 8/15/2007****
The Barns have been bulldozed!!! Another RI landmark that can only be seen in photos!

A couple of things: 1. My barns! 2. I LOVE the saturated colors 3. I like the multiple barns here bc it gives the photo some depth since the sky is blown out.

It's fantastic! Also sad though, that they only exist now in a picture.

Wonderful, and thank God you saved it, if in film, and old film, at that! It's great with the sky gone...
