Rock diving?
Actually I'm not sure what these gulls were diving for (looks like a rock to me) but they'd dive down into the water, pick the rock up, then fly back up in the air and drop the rock - then repeat the whole performance. Very entertaining! Just wish there had been more sunshine.

I think they were practicing for French Fries dropped by whale watchers. Great focus on the eye in this difficult lighting situation.

I never heard of a gull diving for rocks before this...but maybe they do that fora fun exercise to break the monotony in the life of a sea gull...might be fun for them to see the rock bounce and splash in the water when they drop it. Great capture!
