"Sweet Surrender"
Nature surrenders to bitter cold and the approach of winter at Myles Standish State Forest in Plymouth, MA.
"MSSF offers five camping areas, tucked into the forest or set along the edges of four of the park's 16 ponds. All are beautifully maintained and a section of the Charge Pond area is set aside specifically for horse camping. A day-use area at College Pond offers picnicking, swimming, fishing, canoeing. Fifteen miles of bicycle trails, 35 miles of equestrian trails and 13 miles of hiking trails take visitors deep into the forest, which includes one of the largest contiguous pitch pine/scrub oak communities north of Long Island." A great place, expertly captured. Looks a lot like backwoods Minnesota (except for the lack of birch trees).

Rob, the reflections are breathtaking and the image heavenly :-) I can see myself here, in a small paddle boat relaxing and reading a book. Thank you for the vision :-)

This is a gorgeous shot, but it does look like the end of camping season...those stormy clouds portend a not so warm and wonderful day. Great capture as always....I'd like to see it in the summer!

So very beautiful. The textures and Fall colors are fantastic. The reflection in the mirror surface of the water is sharp and lovely. What a wonderful natural work of art. Excellent capture, Rob.
