For several years I've been watching a small 'family' of white-tails crossing the back yard from one grazing meadow to another, never being able to quite catch them with the camera. Right time, right place sort of thing. This morning, while out there shooting a semi-spectacular sunrise (which will be posted later) I heard something behind me moving rather swiflty. As quick as I was I was not quite quick enough and only managed to capture this young spike buck as he fled past. The focus is not quite as sharp as I'd have liked, but I'm grateful to have gotten this guy in any case.
