i have not been out much this summer. maybe i am over worked and not enough sleep or not enough ideas. but from time to time i do get to explore. one morning on my way to delaware, i stopped at this railroad crossing. as you can see the sky was yellow as can be. i waited for the train to come but it didn't. i waited for someone to wait for the train but no one showed up. maybe this shot just worked without anyone or anything.

And it has a haunting quality, too. Very nice. [And, welcome back, Chris. And for the old timers, "Uh, good morning, Mr. Dillon.")

Chris, this is amazing. It is intricate and eloquent (I believe a novel could be written around this beginning). The lights and shadows are dramatic, and the lines and geometry are fabulous. Great eye. I guess it is better sometimes if the train never comes. :-)

I so....love this shot, Chris. Looks like a great opening scene of a novel with the first two lines being: "I waited for the train to come but it didn't. I waited for someone to wait for the train but no one showed up."
