My mom's kitchen window is 10 feet away from this 2nd story nest in a great tree that has since been removed :-( I pitched National Geo about doing a series given my excellent vantage point. Never heard back. Meanwhile, I got to capture three years of video and stills capturing life in the tree, from birth as you see here - the little one's first voyage, venturing out of the depths of the nest mom made in hollowed out trunk of the SQUIRREL HOSTEL IN THE TREE that "the management" decided was a threat and destroyed. I also have a sequence of these same babies being EATEN by a RACOON that divine serendipity and synchronicity delivered to my lens. I have yet to publish my stories about The LIFE AND DEATH of the inhabitants of Squirrel Tree Square, in TURTLE TREE FALLS NJ.
