Triton
Triton was a sea god with a fish tail. He was the son and herald of Poseidon, king of the seas. He stilled the waves with the blow of a conch which he used as a trumpet. The conch holds the sound of the ocean inside it, which is the natural vibration of cosmic energy of the earth magnified. The whorls run clockwise, and the conch is blown during sacred rites to rid negative energy in Hindu mythology. It was one of Vishnu's 5 weapons.
