Dear Livia, do you know where is Nablus? ... a town in the centre of West Bank, Palestine where since the beginning of the Second Intifada are dead more than 200 children as bomb suicider or killed by the crossing-fire during the battles... don't you think that a smile in their own faces could be a "transformation"?

This image makes me feel humble and reminds me to be grateful, showing as it does how energy and curiosity can still be awakened even in the face of terrible odds. I find the items of clothing to be an interesting metaphor suggestive of the comic-book superhero-type transformation...there's a lot in this photo. I'll be attending a meeting of World Bank spouses tomorrow and want to make sure they see this.
