Skippy
One Sat morning I had just gotten home from an AM meeting, and I saw a group of people under the next- door neighbor's tree. One of the several screaming kids come up to me and asked if I could see the raccoon.
Sure enough, he was near the top basking in the sun. What I didn't know as well, was that this little guy had just finished going through quite an ordeal. It seems during the middle of the night he got into the neighbors garbage, and helped himself to a jar of unfinished peanut butter. Well, greed got the better of him, and he stuck his whole head into this mid-sized jar--and couldn't get it off. The animal control people finally arrived in the late morning. They eventually captured him in this very tree, and removed the jar. He went right back up, and the animal control guys just left him. They said he was in shock, and that he had to rest. Hence, that's why I named him Skippy.

Poor thing! You don't see them out in the sun like this normally, but he must have been exhausted.

I wonder if he learned anything. A great shot, James. He does look a little dazed.
