Crumbling Civilization
These are an example of the highly weathered cave dwellings of early Christians in Turkey's Cappadocia region. The Christians carved out entire cities in and under the limestone rock in order to live their daily lives or hide from invaders. Here you can see how the limestone has been eaten away by centuries of rains and brutal winds leaving the granit tops to colapse in on them.
