A shot of my Phillips F7130 Automatic Return record player
Record players are a perfect example of technology that for a while looked as if it was doomed by the introduction and popularity of digital media, but was never quite killed of, and instead laid dormant for a little over a decade.
These days, they seem to be on their way back, full steam ahead, and one can only begin to pull parallels between the record player and analogue film as a recording medium.
Both were never dead, and both is coming back.
