New Lobster traps await their 1st service on the fishing pier at Newport, RI.

Which do you prefer... this or the image posted immediately prior? [NOTE: In answer to "crop" comments, this is not a crop of the prior post-- it's looking DOWN at the traps instead of ACROSS them. I took about 20 pix from all conceivable angles; and these are my 2 favorites.]

    It is difficult to decide which to like better. This one is so abstract, and the other shows the setting. They are different types of shots, and either would be fabulous in its own category. Both promise lobsters, which is enough for me. :-)

    I like them both if were forced to choose I woul dchoose this one..I like the crop and the abstract feel of it..Great colors too! Wonderful capture! OK now where are my Lobsters?

    Great shot! Wow, those babies are sturdy. Are they trapping lobsters or bears? Great lines, colors and repeated patterns make this the best one. Nice work.

    i like both photos but this one appeals to my eye more, maybe the simplicity of the lines?

    Title reminded me of Admiral Arleigh "30-Knot" Burke who revolutionized ocean combat during World War II. (My dad was a Naval Academy grad and I was raised on this stuff.)
