There’s a stranger in the mirror
Eyes to Eye
two to one,
we stare, staring, stared.
Unblinking,
unsettled
in our questioning.
We followed
every breath,
of uncertainties.
Until I
can take no,
and no more of this.
I willed it
far away
but the one
eye in my
eye remained
staring in
my own unbelief.
