" ONCE UPON A TIME... "
In a land far, far away , at an undisclosed base in Southeast Asia GI's were starved for entertainment.
Local dancers were hired. They had to be taught " Go Go ". A parachute was put overhead to keep the hot sun off, and a star was born.
I made this photograph 41 years ago with a Nikon Photomic Ftn and 105 f/2.5 Nikkor lens. The film was my own Kodak Plus X Pan processed in Acufine developer and pushed from ASA 125 to ASA 320. The print was sepia toned in a hot bath and water dodged with a sponge on the back of a processing tray.
I have always be fond of this particular shot over many others. She tried, but just couldn't get the hang of it. Oh, well, GOOD TIMES !
