This image of a speeding "Optimus Prime" was taken at the 2008 Portland Soapbox Derby held at Mt. Tabor. There were other amazing contraptions: a speeding picnic table with a full dinner setup, a wrestling match (I missed that one, but heard about it later), a banana split, an octopus, and a dragonboat... crazy stuff. I think my favorite part was when this soapbox, Optimus Prime, rolled to a stop halfway down the course, transformed from vehicular mode into Mr. Prime himself, and then transformed back to complete the course.
All in all, a fun time on a hot hot day.
