Holy Luck
After the service at the large domed church in Pothia, this little old lady made her way home with a small cup full of water. I asked a friend of mine on the island what was the reason behind this as I had spotted several other women leaving the church with the same beakers. He chuckled and described it as "Holy luck!"
Given by the Priest the holy water is taken home and sprinkled into each room of the house as a blessing.
