Cementerio de Recoleta, Buenos Aires

La Recoleta is Buenos Aires most famous cemetary. It's like a small city of remarkable mausoleums, statues and graves enclosed within high brick walls, in the trendy neighbourhood of Recoleta. Only the most famous, influencial or powerful of Argentina's dead are buried here. For example, the remains of Evita Peron are interred in Recoleta but her husband, Juan Peron (former president of Argentina) rests in Chacarita cemetary.

Great picture! I live near the cemetery, have you seen the church Del Pilar? Now the monks opened access to the dungeons, it's a must see next time you visit Argentina
