Other than the 2nd letter, what's the difference between "Bill" and "Ball"?
-Bill [hurricane]-- keeps man OUT OF the ocean.
-Ball [yellow tennis]-- draws man's best friend INTO the ocean.

This dog was SO happy to retrieve and please it's master! I'm guessing he's much like Mike's faithful and loving Jake. I like the wave action, clear & smooth beach, visible trailing paw prints, dog's shadow, reflection, and feet up front & rear. Digital Elph: Canon PowerShot SD1100 IS.

Coincidence: Mike's last name, of course, is "Ball"! Imagine if his 1st name had been Bill !! :~)

My favorite part of this shot is the dog/reflection/shadow, which if placed in 3 different photos, would be unrecognizable as the same entity. (I hope that makes sense). Fabulous shot, and a nice tribute to Jake!

Jake and his breed are compulsive ball chasers (I used to have one called "Sunny"). This is a beautiful shot of the ocean, made classic by this wonderful dog. It is very well composed, and the details you mentioned are enhancing.
