Yes, It Is Good To Be Alive
I stand behind her as she walks ahead into the light. The painful brightness of the sun shining directly into my face and camera. The light feels so warm and welcoming.
I feel lucky to be alive and pass a thought over those that have entered my life and are now no longer of this Earth. In a fleeting moment as I take the photo, I wonder to myself... "Is this what we see when die?"
The walls around us in this place have probably got so many stories to tell. Old painted walls that have housed so many and are always welcoming to strangers like us - who walk through its confines as invited guests.
I shrug the camera over my shoulder and hastily catch up to my gal who has entered my life and been a trusty companion through thick and thin.
Yeah, it is good to be alive.
