A Kiss Goodbye

Dad's getting ready to head out on deployment and his oldest daughter won't let him leave without another kiss.

He could barely set his lovely girls down before picking at least one up again for hugs.

Saying goodbye is never easy for those who deploy, but it's especially difficult when you know your children are going to be growing by leaps and bounds in your absence.

For this family, I hope to photograph the girls often so Dad doesn't miss too much. Don't worry, there are plenty of photos of Mom heading to the Middle East as well. And she's just as lovely as her daughters.

This is SO poignant! I have no idea how these brave soldiers are able to leave; it must be heart-wrenching! This is a beautiful capture!

Beautiful shot, wonderful capture of the emotion attached to be deployed and leaving one's family. :) This photo inspired a happy/sad feeling inside, one that makes you smile, yet be tearful.

Thank you. This was just one of many special photos from our session. And to think, I've done this over and over again with family after family. It never ceases to tug at my heart.
