Counting the fellow on the handrail [right], there are 5 guards at Horseshoe Bay Beach, Hamilton, Bermuda. Among the world's top-rated beaches, and most often cited as #1 in Bermuda.

Seeing that many lifeguards makes me wonder how safe it is there. LOL! The white sand and sunshine is amazing, as are the brave lads who are willing to go into the water for a flailing swimmer. Great human shot, Rob.

Nice to see someone elses view. It is very safe to swim there when the cruise ship is in there are just so many people that is why you will see so many gurards.

Great shot and the fact they have 5 life guards on duty..When I was 18 years old I almost drowned at a YMCA when diving off the board for the first time in very deep water...The one lifeguard on duty thought I was kidding around when I was choking on water and couldn't breathe, but through sheer determination I swam myself to safety....Second time in my life I almost drowned. So as Michael says they also would need a few more if they saw me floundering around like a beached whale:))
