Hiking around the North Coyote Buttes area called The Wave. Most images of this feature are taken from about where the hiker is looking back towards the camera. I thought this angle presented a great looking "wave" shot and included some of the surrounding landscape as well.
This feature of the landscape is best planned well in advance as only a small group of hikers are allowed to visit it per day. There is a lottery drawing of a very small number of hiking permits at the BLM office nearby if you feel lucky.
Even if you do miss out on The Wave there are an abundance of incredible hikes in this area.
